Assigning Resources to Clients
In addition to courses, you can also share specific resources with your clients. This is a great way to give them targeted materials—like activity sheets, guides, or audio files—that support their learning and therapy goals.
How to Assign a Resource
Follow these steps to assign a resource to a client:
- Navigate to the Clinic - Click "Clinic" in the main navigation menu.
- Select Your Client - Find and select the client you want to share a resource with.
- Find the Resource - In the client's profile view, look for a section displaying available resources or an "Assign Resource" option. You can browse or search for the resource you need.
- Click "Assign Resource" - Select the resource and confirm your assignment.
- The client now has access! - The assigned resource will appear in the client's profile, making it easy for them (or their carer) to find and download.
Where Do Assigned Resources Appear?
When you assign a resource, it will show up in a dedicated "Assigned Resources" area within the client's Hub profile. This makes it clear to the client (and their carers) which materials you've specifically selected for them.
How to Remove (Unassign) a Resource
If a resource is no longer relevant, or you assigned the wrong one, you can easily remove it:
- Go to the Client's Profile - In the Clinic, navigate to the client.
- Find the Assigned Resource - Locate the resource in their list of assigned resources.
- Click "Unassign" - This will remove the resource from their assigned list. (Note: They may still be able to access the resource through the general library if they have broader access.)
Best Practices for Assigning Resources
- Be Specific - Assign resources that directly relate to the client's current goals or the course they're working on.
- Don't Overwhelm - It's better to assign a few highly relevant resources than to flood a client with materials. You can always add more later.
- Communicate - Consider letting the carer know when you've assigned a new resource so they can encourage the client to use it.
